On House: Mike Delgado - Byrdman's Revenge [Rhythm Masters Remix]

Here's a little gem I found whilst perusing the crook-nooks of youtube the other day. This track serves as a fine example of what filter house should be. The sample work is angelic and creamy, diving and turning at the whim of perfectly executed filter sweeps. The pacing is spot on, you'll find some form or sort of variation ready to thwart any would-be moments of repetitivity. Its bass line is tight, funky, and kinda seems to spiral upwards adding even more movement to the track. An absolute 11 out of 10, check it:

This my friends is an 8-bit, sample-based, Lego drum machine. Crafted using only Lego's Mindstorms protyping platform, creator Peter Cocteau dubs it the NXT-606. Not only does it bask in the divine infinite glory of geekhood, it also rocks some pretty sex-nasty beats too (which you'll hear in the video below).
